MERGE Lab Co-Investigator, Dr. Matthew J. Traum, was elected to the Executive Board of the American Society For Engineering Education (ASEE) Pre-College Engineering Education (PCEE) Division [http://precollege.asee.org/] for a one-year term. Election results were announced at the PCEE Division Meeting at the ACEE Annual Conference on June 26, 2020. Dr. Traum will serve the PCEE Executive Board as the “P-12 Other Representative”. In this role, he represents engineering education practitioners who are not classroom teachers but serve the P-12 profession in some other capacity (e.g. administrators, after school & summer programs, volunteers, etc.). Dr. Traum’s ongoing collaborations with North-Central Florida teachers facilitating engineering summer camps and bringing engineering activities into P-12 classrooms provide the foundation from which he serves this constituency.
