Ben Elgan (M.M. ‘19) is a UF Doctoral Music student pursuing a cognate in Mechanical Engineering. He eagerly seeks out interdisciplinary research opportunities involving acoustics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical design. Joining the MERGE Lab as fellow in Spring 2022, Ben’s MERGE Lab research involves the design, manufacture, and implementation of a STEAM initiative for K-12 students through a partnership with the Les Paul Foundation.
